Toora Primary School is a small rural school located 187 kilometre south-east of Melbourne and set in the picturesque hills of South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. Wilson's Promontory National Park is across the inlet and the rolling hills of the Strezlecki Range provide beautiful views and inspiration making our school a great place to be. The school was established in 1888, we have since had a complete rebuild in 2010.

Ray, of Gunai heritage, and his son Jonah provided a meaningful Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony for our whole school this morning. Ray was incredibly generous in sharing his knowledge and taking the time to answer students’ questions, while he and Jonah delighted everyone with a performance on the didgeridoo and clap sticks. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about and connect with First Nation culture - a fantastic way to begin the week.
