ππ Week 8 Attendance Champions! ππ
A huge congratulations to 2M and 4G for achieving the highest attendance rates in Week 8!
π 2M continues to set an outstanding example, earning a place on the attendance leaderboard for the second week in a row and the third time this term. What a fantastic achievement!
π 4G proudly takes the top spot in 3-6, showing that our upper primary students are committed to being at school every day, ready to learn, grow and succeed.
Regular attendance plays a vital role in every child's education. Each school day provides valuable opportunities for learning, social connection, skill development and participation in classroom experiences that cannot always be replicated at home. Even occasional absences can result in missed learning, making it more challenging for students to keep up with their peers and maintain strong learning progress.
We thank our parents and carers for their ongoing support in establishing positive attendance habits. Ensuring children arrive at school every day, on time and ready to learn helps them build confidence, strengthen friendships and make the most of every learning opportunity.
Keep up the great work, 2M and 4G! ππ

πΈπΏ Stage 2 Solves "A Marshy Mystery"! πΏπΈ
On Tuesday and Thursday, our Stage 2 students ventured out on an exciting "Marshy Mystery" excursion, where they became environmental scientists and geographers for the day!
Students travelled to the Blacktown Showground wetlands to investigate the habitat of the endangered Green and Golden Bell Frog. Armed with real fieldwork equipment and geographic tools, they explored the wetlands to uncover the clues needed to determine how the environment supports the lives of living things, such as the Green and Golden Bell Frog, and how humans can use these places more sustainably?
Throughout the day, students examined the frog's habitat needs, including water, food and shelter, while developing their observation, investigation and teamwork skills. They engaged in hands-on learning experiences that brought their Geography and Science studies to life.
Most importantly, our students had a wonderful time exploring the wetlands, working collaboratively with their peers and discovering the important role we all play in protecting our environment.

ππΊπYear 6 Fundraiser Kβ6 Disco! ππΊπ
Last Thursday, despite the stormy weather outside, our students danced the night away and enjoyed an evening filled with fun, music and excitement. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the event and making lasting memories with their friends.
A special thank you goes to our organisers, Mr O'Neill, Miss Layoun and Mrs Holburn, whose hard work and organisation ensured the evening was such a success.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 students, who played a leading role in making the event happen. From serving as DJs, selling chocolates and glow sticks, assisting with the BBQ and helping behind the scenes, this was a truly student-led event that showcased their leadership, responsibility and teamwork. Their efforts were outstanding and contributed greatly to the success of the evening.
Thank you also to all of our staff who generously gave up their time to stay and support the disco. Events like these are only possible because of the commitment and enthusiasm of our wonderful school community.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our Year 6 fundraiser. It was a night to remember!
