Toodyay DHS Newsletter - Term 3 Edition 2

On Tuesday, 25 August, our school came alive with colour, creativity and imagination as we celebrated our annual Book Week Parade!

Students and teachers dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing some of the wonderful stories we love to life. From superheroes and princesses to magical creatures and adventurous characters, there were so many fantastic costumes on display.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and sharing their love of reading. The parade was filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of excitement as we celebrated the joy that books and stories bring to our lives.

A big thank you to all our students, families and staff for making this year’s Book Week Parade such a memorable and magical event!

Our two TOMs teams are representing Toodyay DHS at the Wheatbelt Tournament of Minds competition today. They have overcome many challenges along the way to be here, and are representing our school with pride! Congratulations to all students involved.

And the finale! Congratulations to Connor, our winning faction, and to Avon, second and Drummond third. Our parents were the winners of the BIG relay at the end, showing us just how it’s done! Thanks to our wonderful parent helpers, P&C, staff and spectators who helped make it such a successful day.

REMINDER: Tomorrow is our Book Week Parade, which will take place during our School Assembly commencing at 9:00am (hosted by the year 5 classroom). We look forward to seeing everyone dressed as their favourite book character! 📚✨

We can't wait to celebrate Book Week with our annual Book Week Parade at our school assembly on Tuesday 25 August at 9am!

Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character and join in the fun as we celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling. Families are warmly welcome to attend.
