POSITION VACANT: CASUAL SUPPORT CO-EDUCATOR (CONTRACT) 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 Financial Years
The successful applicant for the Support Co-Educator position with Natural Choice Early Learning – Family Day Care (FDC) must hold a Certificate III in Children's Services or an equivalent qualification. The role requires the successful applicant to possess a C-class driver's license and have a reliable vehicle for traveling between Educator homes in the Tablelands, Innisfail, and possibly Cooktown areas.

Key Responsibilities may Include:

> Caring for children in the absence of the primary Educator due to an emergency, medical, or business appointment.
> Assisting with children who have behavioral or high care needs.
> Setting up the Family Day Care environment and preparing activities for the day or the upcoming week, in conjunction with the primary Educator.
> Following a prepared educational program & recording children's observations when necessary.
> Providing non-contact time for the primary Educator to complete programming and legislative requirements.
> Supporting the delivery of the daily program.
> Assisting with outings, excursions, and school drop-offs/pick-ups.

Mandatory Legislative Requirements for the Role Include:

> Working with children's card (blue card)
> First Aid certificate in an early childhood setting
> Police check
> Medical check
> Public liability insurance
> 3 x compulsory professional development certificates (Child Protection, Child Behaviour & Safe Sleep/ Rest)

Natural Choice Early Learning – FDC will cover the costs of any mandatory requirements the successful applicant does not possess.

The Support Co-Educator must maintain confidentiality at all times to protect the rights of children, parents, and Educators.
