🌋 Volcanoes in Year 4! 🌋

Year 4 had a fantastic time getting hands-on with science as we explored how volcanoes work and what happens during an eruption.

After learning about the forces beneath the Earth’s surface, students created their own mini volcanic eruptions using bi-carb soda and vinegar. There was plenty of excitement as we watched our volcanoes bubble, fizz and erupt! 🧪💥

A fun (and slightly messy!) way to bring our learning about the Earth’s changing surface to life. 🌍🌋

📚🎨 Book Week at TPS! 🎨📚

Last Wednesday, TPS celebrated Book Week with a range of creative Zart Art activities inspired by CBCA Shortlisted Books. 📖✨

Our students had an amazing time exploring their creativity and creating some truly amazing masterpieces! 🖌️🎨

It was fantastic to see so much imagination and enthusiasm from our students. A huge well done to all our budding artists! 💙💛

📚✨ Book Week at TPS! ✨📚

Last Friday, TPS celebrated Book Week with our annual Book Character Dress-Up Parade! 📖🎭

We saw some amazing, creative and colourful costumes, with our students bringing their favourite book characters to life. 🌟

A huge well done to everyone involved for getting into the Book Week spirit and making it such a fun and memorable day! 💙💛📚

🥩 A BIG THANK YOU TO THE ORIGINAL BEEF CHIEF! 🥩

Tocumwal’s very own Beef Chief Jerky has very generously donated an amazing range of their beef jerky for our upcoming P&C Father’s Day Stall! 💙

These generous donations make such a difference to the success of our fundraising. Every extra dollar raised comes straight back to our school - helping fund the things and opportunities that our kids get to enjoy and benefit from throughout the year.

It really does take a village, and we’re incredibly lucky to have local businesses and community members who continue to get behind our little school and our kids. 🥰

A huge thank you to The Original Beef Chief for supporting us - we know there’ll be some very happy dads getting beef jerky this Father’s Day! 😂🥩

📮 A HUGE thank you to Sharon and Paul from Tocumwal Australia Post for once again donating so many fantastic goodies to our Father’s Day Stall!

Thanks to their incredible generosity, our stall is looking extra plump this year - with plenty of great gifts for all the special dads, grandads and father figures in our children’s lives. 💙

They have also made a very generous contribution towards our upcoming raffle, which is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! 👀🎟️

It’s the generosity of our local businesses, families and wider community that allows the P&C to help fund things like excursion buses, new laptops and laptop upgrades. Every donation and every purchase makes a genuine difference to our children!

🥎 RIVERINA PSSA SOFTBALL – WHAT A WEEK! 🥎

Days 2 and 3 have wrapped up, bringing a fantastic few days of softball to an end for our boys representing Riverina PSSA.

The weather mostly held out, despite some soggy grass, and the boys added a couple more wins to their tally, along with some incredibly close games that could have gone either way!

There were soaring hits, slides into bases, brilliant catches in the outfield and plenty of exciting moments along the way. With every game, the boys grew in confidence and really found their groove. By the final day, they were playing like a team that had been together all season!

There was also plenty of learning along the way - who knew softball had so many rules?! Players and supporters were still discovering new ones right through to the final game. 😂

A special congratulations to Ross, who was awarded the Players’ Player medal, as voted by his Riverina teammates. A fantastic achievement and wonderful recognition from his peers. 🏅👏

A huge thank you to Terry for being such a positive, encouraging and supportive coach throughout the week and helping make the experience such an enjoyable one for the boys.

The Tocumwal contingent also received a surprise visit from Mr White, who was in Sydney for a conference and made a special trip out to watch the boys play. It was great to have some extra TPS support on the sidelines! 💙💛

It has been a brilliant week of softball, new friendships and plenty of great memories. TPS is incredibly proud of Ben, Patrick, Jack, Ross and Max for the way they represented our school and the Riverina both on and off the field.

Well done, boys! What an experience! 🥎💙💛
