💥Superior Ram Spotlight 💥

We are extremely excited by Lot 2, a young ram sired by 234304, who sold for $10,000 at the 2024 Classings Classic.

Originally identified as a stud sire prospect, we have made the difficult decision to offer him for sale.

Fibre, feet and figures are the mainstays of Lot 2.

We have worked hard to refine the feet in our sheep, with particular attention to pastern angle and claw set, and this young ram is an outstanding example of what we are striving to breed.

His hindquarter shape and depth of twist demonstrate the carcase capacity within this pedigree, while the fibre is about as good as it gets — parallel in alignment, evenly nourished and carrying a weatherproof surface.

Lot 2 is the type of ram we believe could fit into a breeding program from Copley in Outback SA to Campbell Town, TAS, and everywhere in between.

Combining the rare balance of Top 10% YCFW with positive muscle and fat, together with a well-balanced growth curve, this young sire offers genuine versatility without sacrificing wool, structure or carcase.

We believe Lot 2 has a very big future.

Performance starts with the right genetics 🧬

Shearing and fleece weighing our ewe hoggets at just 12–14 months of age, and we’re pleased with the results:

🐏 Average fleece weight: 4.3 kg
🐏 Fleece weights upto 5.9kg
🐏 100mm of 17.5mic wool having been reared in the worst season the stud has experienced.

These figures reflect the consistency, wool-cutting ability, doability and quality we’re breeding for. It’s rewarding to see young sheep already demonstrating the performance and productivity that form the foundation of a profitable flock especially given the past 12 months seasonal conditions.
