✨ From “maybe” to “I can.”✨

In her late 40s, Susan was ready for a change.

Life revolved around work and raising children. Her motivation and energy were low, her clothes were feeling tighter, and she kept thinking, “I need to change for the better.”

She had tried gyms, diets, home workouts, online classes and personal trainers. When she came to Elements, she wanted to make new friends, too.

What helped her feel comfortable was the community: people of different ages and genders, each on their own journey, supporting one another without judgement. 💗

Since joining pole, she’s noticed improvements in her strength, confidence and body shape. But there have been frustrating moments, too. When progress felt slow, she considered giving up.

What kept her going was understanding that everyone progresses differently, including her. She could move forward at her own pace.

Where she once thought “maybe”, she now knows “I can.”

And when we asked when she first felt she belonged, she shared:

“I feel included and counted. It makes me happy to walk through the doors each time. It is my happy place without a doubt!”

We love seeing our members grow stronger and more confident, and hearing that they feel welcome every time they walk through our doors.

Another chapter in the adventures of Granma & Amelia. 😂💗

Watching Amelia perform at Bend the Air recently brought all those emotions bubbling up. You’d think I’d be used to it by now, but every time she steps onto that stage, my heart feels like it might burst.

I see my little granddaughter, but I also see how much she’s growing - the practice, the courage and the joy she finds in performing.

This girl was born to perform. There’s something so special about watching her express herself through movement and music. I could watch her forever… 🥹

Is anyone else like this? Do you get emotional watching your children, grandchildren, friends or someone you know perform? Please tell me I’m not the only one sitting in the audience with tears rolling down my face! 💕
