We are incredibly proud to celebrate Tamu on receiving the Chris Johnson Medal, recognising young people who demonstrate exceptional performance both on and off the field. πŸ‰πŸ’™

This is a wonderful achievement and a fantastic recognition of Tamu’s dedication, commitment and positive contribution. A huge thank you to AFL Cape York for making this opportunity possible and for supporting our young people to shine both on and off the field. πŸ™ŒπŸŒŸ

During Bullying No Way Week (17–21 August), we are asking students, families and communities to take action.

Small actions, like including someone, speaking up, or showing kindness can make a difference and can help effect change. Actions don’t need to be big to change someone’s world.

Waybeni Buway Ngurpay Mudh campus recently celebrated NAIDOC Week over two days, bringing students, families and community together to celebrate NAIDOC 2026 – 50 Years of Deadly! πŸŽ‰πŸŒΏ

Students enjoyed a wonderful range of activities including arts and crafts, beading, rice art, healthy eating sessions, weaving and a visit from Deadly Science. The celebrations continued with families and community coming together for a community feast, dancing and singing. 🍽️🎢

Au Esoau, Koeyma Eso to everyone who came along to support our students and our campus and helped make our NAIDOC celebrations so special. πŸ’™πŸŒΊπŸ‘

Our Bidu Kindy class at Mabuygiw Ngurpay Lag Campus is becoming more confident and independent as they learn, create and explore together! 🧑

The students worked together to build their own cubby house using barrels, old mats and other recycled materials and they love having their own special space to play and hide. 🏠 They also enjoyed making colourful sensory bottles using coloured rice, carefully using funnels to fill the containers and exploring the beautiful colours they created. 🌈

It is wonderful to see the students learning through creativity, teamwork and hands on play! πŸ’›

🌱πŸ₯¦ Students at Erub Erwer Uteb have been busy getting back into the garden, preparing the beds by mulching and turning the soil before planting new crops.

πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ Their broccoli and cucumber plants are growing healthy and strong and they are eagerly awaiting their first harvest.

🍈 The papaya trees are also beginning their first season, adding to the excitement as students watch their garden grow and learn about caring for plants and producing fresh food. 🌴🌱

Last Friday, our St Paul’s community came together at the community hall to celebrate NAIDOC through culture, creativity and community connection. 🌿🀝

Our students proudly performed for the community and took part in school activities, including making paper cup warup drums and creating a beautiful NAIDOC mosaic artwork to be displayed at the community hall. ✨

A big eso you to our community members who shared their skills and knowledge through face painting, coconut husking, palm frond weaving, canvas painting and ribbon weaving. 🌴🎨🧢

It was a wonderful celebration of culture, connection and community spirit! πŸ’™πŸŒΊπŸ‘

πŸ† Congratulations to Peter and Denzel (Year 11) on their outstanding achievement in Touch Football!

After trialling for Peninsula selection in Cairns in April, both students impressed selectors with their skill and determination. They went on to represent Peninsula at the QRSS 16-18 Touch Championships in Townsville in June, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and talent throughout the competition.

In a fantastic result, the Peninsula 16-18 Boys team claimed the Bowl Series Grand Final title with an 8-7 victory over South Coast White. πŸŽ‰

This was an invaluable experience for both students, competing against highly skilled players from across the state. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, commitment, and maturity Peter and Denzel displayed while representing the College both on and off the field.

πŸ‘ Well done, Peter and Denzel!

Thank you to Akilia Barkus for sharing this achievement. πŸ‰βœ¨
