What a way to christen the new hot grab-n-go! Celebrating National Pie Day early this week!
Did you know that Australians eat over 270 million pies each year 😱 With a history that dates back to the ancient Greeks, the modern pie was brought to Australia by 18th century British settlers as a convenient meal on the go!

Earlier this term our College, VETiS and Year 9 students went on an excursion to the Museum of Tropical North Queensland where they had an educational session with a palaeontologist. This linked in nicely to the year 9 science unit they had recently finished! 💀 🦕

Last week our Year 12s had a visit from the ladies from Link and Launch, a post school program which engages with young people to support them to navigate their options and choose a pathway that will equip them to successfully transition to study, training or work. Our Level 1 ESA, Jas, was able to share her story and success with the program! Looking forward to our next visit!

Another week with the horses 🐎 had our young people begging to stay (or at least squeeze Tonto onto the bus back to school!). We discussed boundaries (how to set our own and how to read others) and assertiveness - how that looks with the horses as they were bridled and students had to instruct them to follow various requests, but also how that looks in our lives.

We sure are spoilt for choice! Check out our fortnightly lunch menu rotation AND the grab n go fridge which is available before school, morning tea and lunch if you dont fancy whats on the menu! Yum! 😋🍎🥪
