The Preschool Children spent the day being Inspired by life on a farm! The Children dressed as farmers and spent the day engaging in a variety of experiences including creating sheep and shearing them, milking a cow and making their own butter.
The Children also enjoyed creating their own farm and mud out of Oobleck! Together the Children continue to develop their knowledge and insight on where food comes from and how food is made through sharing ideas and having many discussions.

Early Years Academy Thurgoona is an Exceeding Service, providing the highest level of care and education for ages 6 weeks to 6 years within the community. Our focus is on creating a fun and engaging environment for the team, children and families alike.

About the role

We are seeking energetic qualified Early Childhood Teachers (ECT) who will support their team in creating an educational program that caters to the individual needs of the children. You will work alongside others to provide a learning environment that is safe, welcoming and challenging for all children and their families.

You have the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the service, from documenting children's learning journey to collaborating with the team on innovative projects.

Skills and experience:

- Must have a Bachelor in Early Childhood
- Must have a current NSW Working with Children's Check
- Previous experience working in an early childhood service.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and National Framework
- Demonstrate ability to complete documentation and daily records with excellent written communication skills.
- Develop an educational program catering to the needs of the children.
- Ability to build respectful and meaningful relationships with children, educators and families.
- Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
