What an incredible two days our girls had in Penrith!

Our Stage 2 girls competed against 16 of the best schools from across NSW, with each team having finished on top of their respective regions.

The girls fought their way through the group stage and secured a place in the quarter-finals, where they came up against a very strong Gymea team who eventually won the tournament.

To finish among the top 8 Oztag teams in the state is an outstanding achievement, especially for a group of girls who donโ€™t play Oztag outside of school.

The girls showed incredible determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament and represented our school with great pride.

What an achievement! We couldnโ€™t be prouder of you all. Congratulations, girls! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who made the trip to Penrith and supported the girls. Thank you for bringing your child along and helping make this experience possible. Your support is greatly appreciated.

If your child had medication during either the Canberra or Bathurst/Dubbo excursion, it will be available for collection from the school office from Monday.

We understand some children may need their medication over the weekend, but if it is possible to wait until Monday, it would be greatly appreciated so we can speed up the collection process.

The Canberra buses (Year 6) are due back at approximately 6:45pm. They have just passed the twin service stations on the M1.

The Dubbo buses (Year 5) are due back at approximately 7:05pm. They have left Denman and are almost on the Hunter Expressway.

๐Ÿ‘‰ REMINDERS:

Below is some key information for the collection of your children, please read it carefully to ensure everyone is accounted for:

- Please you do not park in the bus bay, as the coaches will need to park here.

- Please wait patiently, in your cars, and leave the bus bay clear, until staff have had a chance to unlock gates.

- Once the buses arrive, staff will unlock gate five (near the crossing) for parents, while students and staff disembark the buses and enter through the bus bay gates. Please do not crowd the gate so we can access it quickly.

- Students and teachers will then congregate in the PG Shelter with their luggage and meet the parents.
๐ŸŸก Year six students will meet their parents at the canteen end of the PG shelter.
๐ŸŸข Year five students will meet their parents at the playground end of the PG shelter.

- Please be patient, as it will take time for staff and students to get off the bus and collect their luggage.

- Parents must see a teacher prior to collecting their child, so we can ensure all children get home safely.

Thank you in advance for reading and following the above information carefully. It has been a big few days for our travellers and we are hoping the information above helps to create an easy collection process.

We will post another update when the buses are closer school.

Our year five students final day began with an early start and a morning walk through Taronga Western Plains Zoo, followed by a very special breakfast with the animals. Students then continued exploring the zoo, discovering more about the incredible animals and their habitats before taking part in an exciting Predator and Prey tour.
After three incredible days of learning, adventure and making memories, our students are now on their way back to school!
A very special thank you to our wonderful teachers who put so much time and effort into organising and planning this excursion, and who gave their time to attend and support our students throughout the three days. Your dedication has helped create such a fantastic experience for our Year 5 students!
We will provide an arrival time update shortly, so please keep an eye out for further information.

The final day in Canberra has been another wonderful day of learning and discovery for our Year 6 students! This morning, students visited the Royal Australian Mint, where they explored the fascinating process of making Australiaโ€™s coins and learned more about the history of Australian currency. They then visited the Australian War Memorial, taking time to reflect on Australiaโ€™s military history and the stories of those who have served our country. After an incredible four days filled with learning, adventure, laughter and unforgettable experiences, our Year 6 students are now on their way home!
Thank you to our wonderful staff who have organised, planned and attended the excursion helping our students create life long memories.

We will provide an update with an arrival time shortly. Please keep an eye out for further information.
