🤍 Nativity Project – Step 3: Ready for Paint

After hours of drawing and carefully cutting each piece by hand with the jigsaw, the Nativity scene is finally starting to come to life.

Seeing it standing together for the first time has made all the hard work worthwhile. There’s still plenty to do, but we’re one step closer to bringing this special project to life.

Next comes one of the most exciting stages… painting! 🎨✨

We can’t wait to watch these simple pencil lines transform into a beautiful Nativity scene for our little girl, who has such a special love for Baby Jesus. ❤️

🤍 Nativity Project – Step 2 Complete

The design has now been fully transferred onto the timber, with every detail carefully traced in pencil.

Having Logan help trace each piece made this stage even more meaningful. Watching him take such pride in being part of the project created a memory I’ll always treasure. ❤️

Now that every piece is ready, it’s time for the next stage… cutting everything out with the jigsaw! 🪚🎄

🤍 Nativity Project – Step 2: Projecting the Design onto Timber

With the design finalised, it was time to bring it to life.

Using a projector, we carefully transferred each piece onto plywood, ready for the next stage. It might seem like a simple step, but taking the time to get every line just right makes all the difference.

This project became even more special because Logan jumped in to help, carefully tracing each piece onto the timber. Watching him take pride in being part of the process made this memory even more meaningful. ❤️

Now that every piece has been transferred, it’s time for the fun part… cutting them all out with the jigsaw! 🪚🎄

🤍 Nativity Project – Step 1: Design & Planning

Every handmade project begins with an idea.

Before a single line was drawn, I spent time gathering inspiration, planning the layout and deciding how I wanted our Nativity scene to come to life. From choosing the style of the figures to working out the proportions and how each piece would fit together, this stage is where the vision really started.

This project is a little extra special, as it’s being made just for our little lady who absolutely loves the Nativity story and Baby Jesus. ❤️

I thought it would be fun to share the journey from the very beginning, right through to the finished display this Christmas. 🎄

Next up… turning the vision into detailed drawings ready to transfer onto timber. ✏️

🌸✨ HELLO AGAIN ✨🌸

It's been a little quiet around here lately, and I thought I'd pop in and say hello! 💕

The last few months have been a busy season of family life, school activities, sports and volunteering, and social media has definitely taken a back seat. While I haven't been posting much, Pretty Little Handmade Creations has still been busy behind the scenes. 🤎

I've been creating, designing and working on some beautiful new products that I can't wait to share with you all.

Thanks for being here while things have been a little quieter than usual. I'm looking forward to sharing more of what I've been working on with you all. 🌸

Three kids.
Three different timetables.
Three very different weeks 😅

This little School Week Board has made such a difference in our house now that everyone’s settled back into school. Sports days, library days, different uniforms — it’s all there, clear and visible.

The kids don’t need to ask what they’re wearing anymore, mornings are calmer, and it’s been especially helpful for my two ADHD boys to see their week laid out in front of them.
Simple, visual, and honestly one of those things you don’t realise you need until you have it 🤍
