Donuts with Dad

What a wonderful morning we shared at our annual Donuts with Dad event last week! It was fantastic to see so many dads, grandfathers, and special father figures join us for a delicious donut and quality time with their children before the school day began.

Even though Father's Day has passes, we would like to wish all dads, grandfathers, and father figures in our community a very Happy Father's Day. Thank you for the love, guidance, and support you provide each and every day.

2026 QCE Awards

We are excited to share that Sacred Heart Primary School has entered the Quality Catholic Schools Awards, showcasing the significant improvements we have made in student learning through our whole-school numeracy initiatives. This submission celebrates the dedication of our students, the expertise and commitment of our staff, and the strong partnership we share with families in supporting learning.

Liturgical Dance

Last Tuesday, the liturgical dance troupe performed at Mercy College in the Christian Dance section for the Catholic Performing Arts Festival.

Their piece, ‘Chosen by Grace’ represented the annunciation of Mary. It tells of the moment the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary announcing that she would bare the Son of God through the Holy Spirit. Faced with a Divine calling, she responds with courage and humility, embracing her role in God’s plan.

The students performed with reverence, grace and were all extremely emotive in their movement and storytelling. We had wonderful comments from the judge, parents and other schools at how beautiful the performance was and we could not be prouder of them. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Kindy Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for Kindergarten 2027 and 2028. If your child is starting Kindy in 2027, now is the time to secure their place. Limited vacancies remain, so don't miss out!

If your child was born between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023, they will start 4-Year-Old Kindergarten in 2027. If your child was born between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024, they will start 4-Year-Old Kindergarten in 2028.

Book Week

Our school was bursting with imagination today as we celebrated Book Week with our annual Dress-Up Day and Parade!

Students arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing beloved stories to life with creativity, enthusiasm, and plenty of colour. It was fantastic to see such a wide range of characters and to share in the joy that books inspire.

We are so proud of our students and their enthusiasm for books and storytelling!

Last Wednesday evening (5/8/26), 'The Hearts Dance Troupe' performed at the Catholic Performing Arts Festival for 'Creative Dance' at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre. The students performed a beautiful jazz piece called 'Unwritten' by Natasha Beddingfield. This dance brings to life a message of possibility, self discovery and embracing the freedom to create a story that is yet 'unwritten', where anything is possible. The students represented Sacred Heart School with responsibility, resilience, respect and reverence and made us extremely proud. We congratulate them on receiving an award of Merit for their amazing dance skills. GO THE HEARTS!

🎉🐾 Happy 6th Birthday, Luna! 🐾🎉

Last week, we celebrated the 6th birthday of our wonderful therapy dog, Luna! Students enjoyed helping Luna celebrate, including singing Happy Birthday and watching her enjoy a special doggy birthday cake.

A big congratulations to the students who participated in our Luna Art Competition, and especially to those whose creative artwork was selected as the winners. We were so impressed by the talent and effort on display!
