The Aussie Bird Count, Australia's biggest citizen science event, runs from 20–26 October, 2025 when tens of thousands of Australians will spend just 20 minutes counting the birds around them.

This week is National Child Protection Week.

Supporting Children’s Safety and Wellbeing at Larool:

We believe it is important to intentionally teach children the skills they need to feel safe, strong and supported. Through stories, songs and play-based experiences woven into our curriculum, children learn about:

• The right to feel safe, to be listened to and to be respected
• Building confidence and a sense of empowerment
• Developing the language to express their feelings
• Knowing that it is always okay to ask for help
• Understanding respect, consent and safety

Together, we can give children the skills and confidence they need to stay safe - both now and into the future.
