This is a not for profit, community Preschool run by a management committee of parents. All parents of the children attending the Preschool become members of the organisation and are therefore eligible to stand for election to the committee. Over the last school holiday break, our Cubby House got the Mrs Eldridge makeover! Mrs Eldridge has a flair for interiors, our calm space arch is stunning thanks to her talented eye!
The makeover is very much appreciated by the Preschool children! We have been inspired and have enjoyed listening to some gumnut babies stories and having stylish tea parties ☕️
A lovely way to honour the cubby house built from grant money raised by our wonderful previous director Mrs Thomson and Parent Management Committee.

Normanhurst West Community Preschool’s educators would like to thank the community, families and Parent Management Committtee for their support in our fight for Community Preschools.
Today all the NWCPS educators were able to join the IEU Day of Action in Martin Place, showing unity in our calls for better funding from the State Government.
Community Preschools are a vital model of care and education for many children and families and we want sustainable funding! We want our preschool open for many more years to come serving the community.

We are having a great time at preschool! So far some 2025 highlights include attending the primary schools bake sale, Ready Set Go! in service visit, enjoying and taking care of our garden.
We also opened up our Community Children’s Library to the wider community, it is now located at our front gate, feel free to donate or take books thanks to the generosity of the community ♥️
Look forward to more community, fun and learning at NWCPS!

Butterfly Garden 🌿🐛🦋
What a wonderful learning experience watching the Caterpillars grow, make a chrysalis and then into a butterfly!
This was a wonderful addition to our silkworms journey and the ongoing insect discoveries within our beautiful learning environment.
