A look back at the year so far at St Mary’s ✨

Between classroom learning, creative projects and community visits, it has been wonderful to see our students continue to grow and explore.

We’re so proud of everyone! The care and enthusiasm our teachers bring to each day is inspiring, and we look forward to all that’s still to come this year.

Inside our DigiTech room students are encouraged to explore, create and problem solve through hands-on digital learning 🧑‍💻

DigiTech gives students the opportunity to build confidence with the tools, and stay up to date with the technological advances that are happening around us.

It’s a space for experimentation and future-focused learning where they can ask questions, test ideas and discover what technology can help them create 📲

Congratulations to the 20 St Mary’s students who recently represented our school at the Northcote District Cross Country Carnival 🏃‍♂️

After qualifying through our school trials, students took on either a 2km or 3km course and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day.

A special congratulations to Liam, who placed 6th and has qualified to represent St Mary’s at the Darebin Division Cross Country Carnival!

We are incredibly proud of every student who stepped up to the challenge and represented our school community so well 🏃‍♀️💙🏃‍♂️

Our students recently welcomed a local kindergarten group for a morning of arts and crafts, sharing creativity together and a glimpse into their next chapter of schooling 🎨

This was a beautiful opportunity for confidence building and community across different age groups.

Tiny creatures and big curiosity 🌱 Our Prep to Year 4 students recently took part in the Bean Boogie Incursion to learn about soil science, sustainability and the ecosystems living right beneath our feet.

We believe hands-on experiences like this help students connect classroom learning with the real world, encouraging care for the environment and a deeper understanding of how nature works 🪱

A beautiful morning celebrating Mother’s Day at St Mary’s 💐 Thank you to our wonderful P&C and the school leadership community for creating such a thoughtful morning, with pastries, juice, coffee, bouquet making and a photo wall to capture a few special moments together.

It was lovely to see so many families sharing the morning with us and celebrating the mums, grandmothers, carers and special people in our school community ✨

Yesterday our students participated in an important cyber-safety session to discuss navigating the online world respectfully and responsibly.

As technology continues to become a growing part in everyday life, these conversations help our students make informed choices and build healthy digital habits from a young age. We’re proud to support opportunities that help them build confidence, awareness and skills 👩🏻‍💻

These eye‑catching designs were lovingly crafted by Johanna Villani Design, a talented local business with a big heart for community projects. Johanna took the spirit of our school, our energy, diversity, and pride, and turned it into vibrant visuals that truly pop.

It’s always wonderful to partner with small local businesses who help our community shine just a little brighter.

A glimpse into the people who help keep our community safe. Our Prep-2’s had the opportunity to spend time with our local Firefighters and Police, learning about the roles these everyday heroes play and the care they bring to our city.

Moments like these in and out of the classroom opened conversations and built confidence in those that look out for us 🧑‍🚒👮‍♀️
