We’ve heard the news that a local preschool will be closing, and we know this may be a stressful time for many families.

We wanted to reach out and let our community know that we currently have places available and are here to support families who may be looking for a new early learning service.

🥗🍎 Exciting News for Our Families! 🍎🥗

We’re so happy to share that we now have a cook again! Please join us in giving a big, warm welcome to Racheal, our new centre cook 👩‍🍳✨

Racheal will be with us Monday to Friday, preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the children using our brand-new Yummy Tummy cookbook menu. This means delicious home-style meals, balanced nutrition, and lots of new flavours for little taste buds to explore!

We’re incredibly excited to have Racheal on board and can’t wait for the children to enjoy the love and care she’ll be putting into every meal 💚

There’s something pretty special about watching children harvest food they’ve grown themselves 🌱💚

This week, our garden has been busy with little hands picking, pulling and proudly showing off the veggies they’ve helped care for. From watering and waiting, to harvesting and tasting, these moments support so much learning — patience, responsibility, sustainability, and a real connection to where our food comes from.

The joy on their faces says it all. These are the everyday experiences that build confident, curious learners and create meaningful childhood memories ✨

We love providing hands-on, nature-based learning opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom — and our veggie garden is just one of the many ways we nurture growing minds 🌼

We thought we would quickly update our Pegasus Facebook family 🦄

Tash has made the personal decision to step away from childcare to spend more time at home with her family. We are very grateful for the care, dedication, and leadership she has provided to the children, families and educators during her time with us, and we wish her all the very best in this next chapter. She asked us to pass on to all the families that she will miss seeing the children each day and if you see her around in the community please feel free to say hello!

We are pleased to share that Bree has been successful in obtaining the Nominated Supervisor role at the centre. This is a familiar face to both children and families, with a strong understanding of our centre, our values, and our daily practices. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and has built positive relationships within our community.

Caitlin has taken on a General Manager role for Pegasus and this means that she will be able to help mentor Bree in this role and ensure a smooth and supported transition.

We are confident that this change will provide continuity and stability for the children and families in our care. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to send and email or speak with us at the centre.

Wow what an incredible turn out to this years children’s Christmas party! Special thanks to all our wonderful staff for their help setting up and our amazing families for joining us.

Our children were so excited to share in this experience gaining valuable knowledge about what the do’s and don’ts are when it comes to dogs we meet out and about in our community.
Kobe was a very friendly and well trained dog as children were encouraged to communicate with Kobe’s owner first by asking them to pat him and then approaching Kobe dog in a calm and respectful manner before patting him on the back.
We learnt some catchy songs and read a story about how dogs communicate with us. 🐕
