TECCA is currently seeking a reliable and experienced cleaner to join our team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can provide a consistently high standard of cleaning to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our children, families and staff.

This is a regular ongoing position, with cleaning undertaken outside of the centre’s operating hours.

Father’s Day & Special People Celebration

We’re looking forward to celebrating the wonderful dads and special people in our children’s lives!

Children are welcome to invite someone special to celebrate with them, whether that’s Dad, Grandad, Pop, Stepdad, Uncle, Mum, a family friend, or another special person in their life.

📣 Speech Pathologist Visiting TECCA

We are excited to welcome Speech Pathologist Ashleigh McKinnon from Be With Me Speech Therapy to TECCA later this month.

Ashleigh will be providing two different, free services:

🧸 DAYCARE, Friday 21 August
Ashleigh will conduct a whole-class observation, observing children during their usual play, routines and interactions. She will then provide our educators with general strategies to support children's speech, language and communication development. This is not an individual assessment or screening.

🎒 KINDY, Monday 24 August
Kindy children will have the opportunity to participate in an individual Speech, Language and Literacy Screening. Families will receive a one-page report following their child's screening.

📝 CONSENT IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH DAYCARE AND KINDY CHILDREN.

Consent forms and further information have been emailed to families and will be sent home in bags. Please read, sign and return the relevant form/s to TECCA as soon as possible.

This week we have been busy creating and making some flying objects.

Gliders - using paper to design our unique gliders, we also practiced writing our names. Before folding and creating our gliders. Later in the day we investigated how to make them glide. Exploring height, shape, size and throwing style.

Butterflies - we looked at colours as we happily splashed paint over our paper. We enjoyed squashing and spreading paint to for our butterflies. We all giggled and laughed as we revealed our butterfly designs.

Resilience project - looking at people we are grateful for, people that can help us and how we show our love to others. We completed various projects surrounding these concepts.

Number three - We enjoyed looking at the number three, counting lots of objects and painting some threes.

Creating stories - we continued to create our stories, looking at connecting ideas through our pictures and sharing them with everyone.
