As we head into October, this is a reminder that our School Sport Awards are open until Sunday 25 October 2026. While we have gotten a lot of awesome nominations from great athletes, officials, and teams we know there are more out there! So please get your noms in before it closes!

Last week saw the conclusion of the SSA National Cross Country Championships at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre with Team SA winning two shields the โ€œAggregate Improvement Trophyโ€ and the โ€œRelay Improvement Trophyโ€ after our most successful competition since 2020.

Six athletes finished in the top 10 in their individual races on Tuesday with Georgia receiving the silver medal in her race. The 12-year-old boys team combined to win a bronze medal!

Relay day saw even more exciting results with another two bronze medals to our 11-year-old boys and our 12-year-old boys' teams. In addition, our 10-year boys ran exceptionally well and finished just off the podium in 4th with the girlsโ€™ teams all finishing 5th in their age groups. Our two MC athletes ran well however with only one medal presented in this category they werenโ€™t on the podium on this occasion.

Big thanks and congratulations to all our students, team officials for representing South Australia proudly!

The Golf Teams Stableford Championship was held last Friday in spectacular conditions at the picturesque The Vines Golf Club of Reynella. 78 students teed off from as early as 7:00am to try to score as many Stableford points as they could for their team. Congratulations to our medallists on the day:

The SA U12 Boys Netball team have had a great tournament and are currently sitting 4th with a chance to take bronze if results fall our way. They were also able to beat Victoria for the first time in School Sport boys netball history which was a very exciting moment for players, families, and team officials alike.

The boys have developed their skills throughout each game and have also shown excellent team work and sportsmanship.

They attended a player experience at the Darwin Military Museum and enjoyed learning about Australia's history and mixing with players from the other states.

Here's a report from our Team Manager, from the tennis championship a few weeks back that we missed, alongside some awesome photos!

What a fantastic week in Brisbane for our SA 12U Tennis Team! โค๏ธ

The team finished 6th overall, with several highly competitive ties decided by fine margins. Unfortunately, our tie against Victoria was washed out due to weather.

Most importantly, our students were exceptional ambassadors for South Australia. Their skill, sportsmanship, teamwork and support for one another were outstanding throughout the championships.

A huge congratulations to all our players on a fantastic week of tennis and representing SA with such pride! ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ‘

The South East Zone are back at Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre for our last zone carnival for the term.

Today the Year 7-9 and 10-12 Girls have taken to the court for our Futsal competition. We had 80 girls, from 5 schools across the zone giving their all for their teams.
Congratulations to all participants and thank you to our student coaches and referees.

Congratulations also to the Millicent High School 1 team who took out the Year 7-9 competition, going through the day undefeated, and the Tenison Woods College Year 10-12 team who won their division by a very narrow +1 goal difference.

The year 7 to 9 boys and 7 to 12 girls statewide schools finals were held today at the ICA Sportzworx, Stepney. 4 boys team and 4 girls teams battled it out to become state champions.

The girls are having an amazing tournament so far and are currently sitting 2nd in silver medal position.

Theyโ€™ve also visited the Darwin Military Museum on Wednesday alongside the SA boys' team and have been making lots of new friends from all across Australia.

Such a great experience for them both on and off the court! We wish them and the boys' teams all the bets for their remaining games.
