Come and Cook Brisbane Cooking School Cooking has always brought me joy, satisfaction and fulfilled a personal need for creativity. I left London in 2010 to raise my young family back in Australia.

✔️Family lessons I left primary school teaching and began my own cooking business while living in London (2002-2010) because I wanted to share my skills and love of cooking with others. I travelled widely, dem

onstrating and setting up practical experiences to teach basic cookery skills and provide food experiences for children, parents and teachers in greater London, employed by local councils, the NHS and individual schools. Teaching and demonstrating cooking was the most rewarding time of my working years. As a passionate home cook, I love to involve my children now in the kitchen and prepare most of our meals from scratch, always learning new recipes and cooking techniques.

You know when it's Friday and you should be washing up/ doing accounts/ planning next week and all of a sudden (an hour or so just disappeared) you are on Marketplace randomly and logically contemplating buying a snack bar in Mansfield for a career change😆

Life was simple back then growing up in Tassie and a bike was everything!
Just for giggles and a little funny prompt that School Holidays just opened and are filling fast.

Ps. Please dont dress your kids in any of these outfits or they may hold a grudge even in their menopause

PS Tonights class kids sorry your cake was a little hot, underdone and crumbly as the class gossip was strong, listening went out the door and pineapple, coconut cakes did not go in the oven on time.

Hey Woolworths that recipe from the Fresh Magazine page 33 was not the easy task I was led to believe😭
The rice paper roll wrappers were cooked to puff up like the perfection in the photo and I even followed all directions( unlike my usual maverick style🤣).
In the frypan they cooked in parts and were crunchy raw in others.
In the microwave I burnt my fingers and the middles cooked and not the outsides.
I tried paper bag method, plate method, painting then with oil and i'm now thinking there must be a secret to this. Please share it with me x K

Pop is back
Here he is!

Tonight's dinner by Pop was a yummy scrummy Bolognese with gluten free pasta for his neighbour Jude.
He researched a Taste magazine recipe which was delicious.
As a kid Spaghetti Bolognese was my all-time fave meal apart from mums Chop Suey...maybe I just loved 101 ways with mince😂 It was often on rotation and I was generally happy to eat most meals apart from the dreaded Irish Stew 🤮 or the Good Friday smoked haddock.

I was a bit of a brat back then tbh😂

Thanks Pop for continuing to be amazing ...he also fixed one of my stainless benches from Come and Cook.

You know when you wake up at five a.m thinking about a side quest (not important to your job/day at hand) and have to go down the wormhole of investigating it?
This is me and now 2 hours later I sit her still debating it and researching cream cheese prices and jars😆I am definitely an ideas person! Not all of them work out but they are the reason my brain wont let me sleep.
Hands up who else goes a bit too way into a side quest?
