๏ฟฝWeโ€™ve had a fantastic week celebrating our love of books and reading! We kicked off the week with an exciting and engaging author visit from the incredible Aleesah Darlison. What interesting facts about animals and sea-creatures did your children come home with?? ๐Ÿฆ™๐Ÿข
Throughout the week, students participated in a range of fun activities and competitions. ๏ฟฝAfter fuelling up with some sugar from the Year 6 Cupcake Stall, the icing on the cake was our much-loved Book Character Parade, showcasing an amazing array of creative and colourful characters! Well done students, staff and parents! ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŽญ๏ฟฝA huge thank you everyone who helped create such special memories for our students this week. We also loved welcoming Jonty Bush - Member for Cooper to our school to visit our students and present the competition prizes. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘๏ฟฝWhat a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ“š

Money raised at the cupcake stall will go towards the Year 6 Legacy Project which is an artwork and a beautification of one of the gardens. The Prep students received a letter last Friday from Koala Blue from Bunyaville Bush School asking if we wanted to come and meet her and to go through her special training course to become Wildlife Scientists! ๐Ÿจ ๐ŸŒฑ

We had some very eager students waiting to start their training journey on the way to Bunyaville. When we arrived, we had our morning tea and met another bush friend called Kooka. He told us there was a mystery to be solved as Koala Blue had gone missing!

With the help of our bush school teachers, Agatha and Richard, the students finally solved the mystery and found Koala Blue safe and sound, sleeping high up in a gum tree! What an exciting day of discovery and learning! ๐ŸŒณ

Our little learners had a wonderful time at our ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐†๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง! Through play, songs, games and craft, the children had the opportunity to experience the joy of learning another language.
They learnt some new German words, joined in with a German song and even had a go at singing โ€œ๐‡๐ž๐š๐, ๐’๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐Š๐ง๐ž๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐จ๐ž๐ฌโ€ in German โ€“ with plenty of actions and smiles along the way!
It was a fun and engaging introduction to German and a lovely opportunity for our future students to learn and connect together.
