Last week, our students gathered around the fire in recognition of National Reconciliation Week.
Following the sharing of the Dreaming story of Bunjil the Creator, students reflected on this year’s theme ‘All In’ by sharing stories and memories of their own.
We are tremendously grateful to be learning on the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung lands of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge the traditional owners of the beautiful waterways and native bushland on which we learn and pay our respects to all First Nations people and elders past and present.

The seasons may change, but the opportunity to climb a tree never does- or at least it seems that way here at Fernbrook!
Tree climbing builds confidence, resilience, balance, and imagination- all while encouraging students to slow down, take risks, and connect with the world around them. 🍁🍃

Tiny worlds! 🌱🌎
As part of their science studies, our Year 7’s designed and built their own little ecosystems.
Using these models, our students will continue to study and analyse the biotic and abiotic factors that work together to support life, deepening their understanding of the delicate balance found within the natural world.

Year 10 Formal and Graduation 🌿
Last Friday, we celebrated a milestone moment for our Year 10’s - a beautiful evening that was planned by two of our incredible students. From organising the venue and caterer to ensuring the hall was decorated- their teamwork and leadership skills ensured this special evening was a true success!
We shared a delicious dinner thoughtfully prepared by our friends at , listened to speeches that spoke of our student’s special qualities and achievements and reflected together on how far they have all come.
This moment is especially meaningful for us as these are our first Year 10’s to graduate, many of whom joined us way back when we were based in Cockatoo.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers and the families who have supported, encouraged, and cheered these students on every step of the way.
Here’s to their hard work, their growth, and the exciting journeys ahead! 🌿
