Some clips from our two day stainless out door knives + kydex sheath course

This course doesn’t involve forging, we use the stock removal method to grind our blades to shape, then we take you through bevel grinding and heat treating stainless steel, gluing and shaping the handles and then spending the afternoon of day 2 making custom kydex sheaths for them.

The Artist Blacksmiths NSW will be joining us again with their renowned demonstrations in blacksmithing and bladesmithing.

Watch them heat the steel in a forge, then skilfully manipulate by hammer and anvil into a usefool tool or piece of art. Talk to the 'smiths' as they explain their process and tools used to move the hot steel in different directions.

This artisan craft stems from 1500BCE and has been active to the current day, it's mesmorising and awe inspiring. Talk to the smiths about doing a class at their forge in the future, it's a proven and fantastic way to destress, deal with PTSD and other illnesses, while creating something with your hands.
