Achieving Proficient Teacher accreditation is an important milestone for an early career teacher. It involves demonstrating, through classroom practice, professional evidence and observation, that they meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, professional practice and professional engagement.

This achievement recognises Miss Ball’s growth, dedication and commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for her students.

📣 CAN YOU LEND A HAND IN OUR SCHOOL CANTEEN? 💛

Our school canteen is looking for some wonderful new volunteers to join our team on Mondays and Fridays.

We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers who have generously given their time to our canteen over the years. As circumstances change and some of our helpers move on to work and other commitments, we are now hoping to welcome some new faces. Parents, grandparents and other family members are all very welcome!

Never volunteered in a canteen before? That’s completely okay! New helpers are supported and are never left on their own until they feel confident. And if you’d prefer to always work alongside someone else, that’s perfectly fine too. 😊

Our canteen does much more than provide lunches and treats. The money raised through our canteen helps pay for buses for excursions, sporting trips and other experiences for our students. With the cost of transport continuing to rise, every canteen day and every volunteer makes a genuine difference.

Whether you can help regularly or simply offer the occasional day, we would love to hear from you.

What if the pencil in your hand had a story of its own?

Winner of the 2026 CBCA Picture Book of the Year, Once I Was a Giant by Zeno Sworder invites us to see the natural world a little differently.

✨ Congratulations to our Confirmation candidates! ✨

Last night was a very special occasion for our school and parish community as our students received the Sacrament of Confirmation, celebrated by Bishop Peter Murphy and Fr James.

We are incredibly proud of each of our students as they took this important step in their faith journey, strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit and surrounded by the love and support of their families, teachers and parish community.

May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and strengthen you as you grow in faith and live out the gifts God has given you. 🕊️

Congratulations to all of our newly confirmed students on this beautiful and significant milestone. 💛🙏

Today we were delighted to welcome Bishop Peter Murphy to our school community for a very special visit.

Bishop Murphy is in Tenterfield ahead of tomorrow evening’s celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation, when some of our students will take this important step in their faith journey.

Throughout the day, Bishop Murphy visited each of our classrooms, meeting our students, sharing his knowledge and answering their many wonderful questions. He was particularly impressed by the thoughtful questions they asked and the knowledge they so confidently shared with him.

Bishop Murphy also spent a special session with our Confirmation candidates, talking with them about their preparation for the sacrament and the saints they have chosen for their Confirmation names.

A beautiful moment occurred when the Angelus bell rang while Bishop Murphy was visiting our Kindergarten classroom. For the first time during a visit to one of our diocesan schools, Bishop Murphy led the Angelus prayer, with our Kinder students joining him and reciting the prayer beautifully. They certainly made us proud and left Bishop Murphy even more impressed!

Bishop Murphy also joined our staff for morning tea and lunch, giving us a lovely opportunity to share conversation and get to know him.

We thank Bishop Murphy for the warmth, time and genuine interest he shared with our students and staff today. It was a very special day for our school community, and we look forward to celebrating with Bishop Murphy and our Confirmation candidates tomorrow evening. 💙🙏
