Well 2025 is wrapped up which included memorable experiences for all of our members.

Our Club was represented at speech competitions and travelled to Tamworth to compete. Also members travelled to Tamworth to offer support for other competitions. Anyone say ‘road trip’ and we are there. Looking forward to Dorrigo in February.

Members achieved Club and personal goals during year.

All members have gained confidence to remove some of those butterflies that magically appeared when we have a special presentation. Our members have put in the effort and hard work to be MORE in their commitment to themselves to present amazing speeches.

One of our members Kim has achieved greatness in her own business with a magical presentation at the launch of a magazine that featured her garden. Kim said “without the support of fellow members she would not have had the confidence to stand in front of 60 strangers and talk about her garden”. Together Kim and Tenterfield have achieved an important milestone.

Tenterfield has achieved awards being active in District 90 and participating in training for the betterment of the Club.

Tenterfield has welcomed Area and District Directors to our meetings and welcomed visitors to our meeting.

In October Tenterfield Toastmasters hosted the Area 18 competition and created a magical experience for Toasties who travelled from Moree, Inglewood, Sydney, Grafton, Lismore and Tamworth to participate and support the committee.

Our wonderful committee lead by President Belinda, Michelle, Margie, Tamar all wish everyone a magical year ahead.

As 2025 wraps up Tenterfield celebrates the coaches Shaun and Cathy for their support as well as support from Jan our Area 18 Director.

Everyone who turns up to our meetings make them feel so much like we are part of a family, full of love and support.

Well done Tenterfield. Let’s go forth and see what 2026 has install for us.

Area 18 Competition held at Tenterfield Golf Club on Saturday 25th October 2025.
What a great turn out of support by family and friends to encourage our contestants along with Area 18 Director Jan Coleman DTM.

Jan called in buddy favours to travel for the judges and timers positions was truly remarkable. Some of our guests travelled over 3 hours and Ramani our District Director travelled up from Sydney to show support her home Club.

The day started out with a huge spread of goodies to consume after the long drives.
There was a massive table of prizes up for grabs with a multi-draw raffle happening throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the prize pool.

Our first competition was the Evaluation Competition with Annette Pascoe as the test speaker. There were four participants with congratulations going to Kate George taking out first place, Gillian Baker taking out second and Vina Sibal taking out third.
The Humourous Contest was hotly and humourously contested with congratulations going to Gillian Baker taking out first place, Andrew O’Neil taking out second and Michelle Burton taking out third place.

Everyone was happy to sit down and enjoy a fabulous lunch provided by the Tenterfield Golf Club kitchen.

The Tables Topics were also hotly contested with six contestants with congratulations to Wendy Baldwin taking first place, Kate George second and David Madigan taking out third.
The International Contest was also hotly contested with congratulations to Wendy Baldwin taking out the top prize with Michelle Burton taking home second place.

Northern Division Director Giorgio Donazzolo was handy as chief judge as well as using this occasion to present awards to members and Clubs in his district.
District 90 Director Ramani Warusevitane DTM was able to present President of Tenterfield Toastmasters Club Belinda Fields with The Home Of District Director ribbon to attach to our club banner.

The next big event is in Dorrigo in February 2026.
What a great day enjoyed by everyone and our participants all showed us what to do for speech competitions. I think we will have some newbies competing next year.

Another fantastic club meeting yesterday with our mock club contest and our wonderful Club Coaches attending to give us a hand. All of our contestants will go through to the Area Contest on Saturday, 25 October 2025 which is a live event being held at the Tenterfield Golf Club. Doors will close at 9:55 am so the contest can start at 10:00 am. We invite everyone to come along and hear all the representatives contestants from Sapphire City, Inverell Breakfast and Moree Toastmasters. It is guaranteed to be a fantastic day so come along and cheer on your favorite contestant.

We were delighted to welcome our new Club Coach, Shaun 🎉 and send our best wishes to our other new Club Coach, Cathy, who couldn’t join us due to illness – get well soon Cathy 💐.

Sue inspired us to speak up about a decision passed at the recent District Conference, sparking a thoughtful response from our very own member and District Director, Ramani. 🌟

Kim also shared her communication styles in a creative and engaging way – using her love of gardening as the perfect metaphor to grow our skills 🌱🌸.
