We would like to take a moment to pause and appreciate all of our generous donors for our recent fundraiser- the Animals Trivia Night. This night is a very special event in our school calendar, and one that we are very proud of. To see our student body work so hard for months on end to help plan the evening, and approach the community for donations, is a wonderful hands-on learning where they can see the hard work pay off. We will share a list of our generous donors across the following slides! They have truly helped shape the evening and assisted us in raising funds for our amazing animals at TC.

The animal lovers in the room (there were MANY) got very excited about the donations from these following organisations. These businesses donated their products or services and had many pet owners and animal lovers opening their wallets! Our wonderful friends in the Permaculture team are offering fun activities every Thursday lunchtime in S-Wing. If you want your young person to have a little less screen time in their life, or just a chance to explore the natural world, encourage them to join Andy and Petra in S-Wing on Thursday lunch time!

On Mondays we wear our Sherman Fanclub tee shirts!

TC Animals student Ryan has designed and produced “Sherman Fan club” tee shirts, which were sold at our Trivia Night for fundraising. Staff and students are encouraged to wear them to school (especially on Mondays!) to celebrate the best pig in the world, Sherman.

At TC Animals we are constantly striving to improve the lives of our animals, through a range of enrichment practices. Today, our beautiful Lace Monitor “Irwin” spent some time out of his enclosure, climbing on our indoor climbing frame. Lace monitors are expert climbers and Irwin thoroughly enjoyed his time climbing a different structure to his own enclosure.

This climbing frame is also an excellent example of how TC encourages students to choose projects based on their interests and the needs of the community. It was constructed as a class project!
