Bright Beginnings Early Years Learning Centre is a purpose built, privately owned and operated Long daycare Centre located in Timmins Street, Temora, New South Wales. Open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6pm catering for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The centre operates 51 weeks in the year, closing over the Christmas and New Years period as well as public holidays. At Bright Beginnings

Last week we welcomed Ranger Sam from Reptiles on the Go to our centre for a fun and educational incursion! 🐍🦎

The children discovered the reptiles’ fun names while enjoying a fantastic hands-on experience, getting up close to these incredible animals and learning all about them—including where they live, what they eat, what they do when they feel scared, and how we can stay safe if we ever see one in the wild.

Our centre was full of cuddly friends today as we celebrated our Teddy Bears Picnic! 🧸💛

The children loved bringing along their favourite teddy to join in the fun. Each room enjoyed a special picnic together, which included a delicious sausage sizzle for lunch.

On Wednesday, we welcomed Keep Australia Beautiful’s EnviroMentors for their “Garbage to Garden” incursion. 🌱♻️

The children learnt about what is and isn’t considered a food scrap, including which food scraps are safe for composting. They also discovered how worms help turn food scraps into nutrient-rich soil before planting their own snow pea seeds in recycled containers.

A wonderful hands-on experience that encouraged our little learners to care for our environment while having lots of fun! 💚♻️

This NAIDOC Week, you may have noticed our educators wearing something a little different 💗

The artwork featured on our shirts represents the ongoing support women provide to one another during their journey with breast cancer.

The central circle symbolises a meeting place for women facing this illness, while the rainbow shapes surrounding it represent the women themselves and the many family members, friends and supporters who walk alongside them through such a challenging time.

It is a beautiful reminder of women supporting women in a very special way.

As an added bonus, with the purchase of these shirts, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, helping to support vital research and work towards a future free from breast cancer.

We are proud to wear these shirts this week and to support such a meaningful cause while celebrating NAIDOC Week and the stories and artwork that bring communities together 💕

Today we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime, a wonderful event that celebrates the joy of reading, storytelling and connection📚🦘✨

We were incredibly lucky to welcome Temora local Dimi, Tourism Officer for Temora Shire Council, baking extraordinaire and finalist on The Great Australian Bake Off, who joined us to read Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller to the children.

We loved sharing this special experience together, highlighting the magic that books and storytelling can bring. At the end of the story, the children enjoyed discussing the different animals featured throughout the book.

Today we celebrated all of our wonderful mother figures with a special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea 💐

We were also proud to incorporate Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea into the celebration, bringing everyone together for a lovely afternoon filled with delicious treats, fun activities and meaningful moments.

Today our Preschool children enjoyed a special yoga and mindfulness session with Amber, a local yoga teacher🧘‍♀️✨

The children explored breath work, yoga poses, stretches and dances to help calm their bodies and express their emotions. The children learnt breathing techniques such as “smelling the flowers and blowing out the candles” to practice deep breathing 🌸🕯️

We can’t wait to welcome Amber back next week to enjoy these experiences with our junior children too! 💛

Continuing to build on our learning around the Safety 5 Network, we were lucky to welcome Elliot (one of our wonderful Dads) and Derek from Temora Fire Rescue 🔥🚒

The children explored important fire safety messages, including the difference between safe and unsafe fires, who to call in an emergency and what firefighters wear to keep themselves protected.
They also demonstrated what to do if there is a fire, helping children feel more confident and prepared.

There was plenty of excitement as the children had the opportunity to sit in the fire truck and even have a turn using the hose!

Thank you to Elliot and Derek for sharing their time, knowledge and giving the children such a memorable hands-on experience.

Wishing all of our wonderful families a safe, happy and relaxing Easter weekend 🐣💛

A reminder that our centre is closed today and Easter Monday. We will resume normal operating hours from Tuesday 7th April.
