✨ Today, we proudly wore red to recognise Rural & Remote Education Day and show our support for the incredible work of the ICPA QLD INC - Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association Queensland Inc ✨
The ICPA plays such an important role in advocating for rural and remote students, families and schools, helping ensure that where you live doesn’t limit your access to a quality education. Their advocacy gives a strong voice to communities like ours. 🌾
As a small remote school, we know just how important that voice is. We are very grateful for the continued work of the ICPA in championing rural and remote education.
❤️ Proud to wear red. Proud to be rural. Proud to be Teelba. ❤️

🤩 What a day!! 🥳
Our 60th Anniversary and Playground Opening was a huge success, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day so special. There are so many people and businesses to thank for such a tremendous day. Here is a little snippet!
🔹A sincere thank you to Ann Leahy, Mayor Wendy Taylor, Councillor Jo Hancock and Councillor Meryl Brumpton for joining us to celebrate this important milestone.
🔹A very special thank you to the Westmar-Inglestone branch of the ICPA for the huge amount of work they put in on the day. Your time, effort and helping hands made such a difference, and we are so grateful. Many hands truly do make light work! 💚
🔹A special thank you to Russel from GDL for generously being our auctioneer. 💸
🔹Karen Penfold for being our MC extraordinaire. 🎤
🔹We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors and donors for their wonderful support.
🔹Finally, an enormous thank you to our small but mighty P&C, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and pulled off an absolutely incredible event! 🥳

31/08/2026

🤩 We are so lucky to have some of the best Teacher Aides in the business!
A very happy teacher aide week to Mrs S, Miss Lucy, Miss Chloe, Miss Hannah, Miss Dannii and Caitlyn! 🥳

Teacher aides and support staff play a vital role in educating young Queenslanders.

For Teacher Aide Appreciation Week, I’d like to recognise each and every teacher aide across the state for the work you do every day for our students.

Thank you to these teacher aides at Teelba State School for your efforts in providing a world-class education for this small remote community!
