Dear parents and caregivers,

We hope everyone has had a safe and relaxing break and are looking forward to returning to school on Monday, 2 February.

To help ensure a smooth start on the first day, please note the following arrangements:

- Kindergarten students and parents are asked to meet in the Sensory Garden (next to the Basketball Court) at 9:00am. Students will be met by their teachers and guided to their classrooms once the bell rings at 9:15am.

- Students in Years 1-6 are asked to take their bags to the assembly steps when they arrive at school. Once the bell rings at 9:15am, students will meet on the steps and move to the hall where they will be advised of their class and teacher for the year.

A reminder our swimming carnival will be held in Bega on Thursday, 5 February for students in years 2-6. Online permission and event nominations have been sent out via the Sentral for Parents App this week. It would be wonderful if we could have forms submitted online as soon as possible to allow us to enter students in their nominated events prior to the carnival.

Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another great year! 😊

πŸ“£ A Little End-of-Year Reminder for Our Families

As we get closer to the end of the school year (yay! πŸŽ‰), we just wanted to gently remind everyone that students will continue using the same smart card bus pass next year and beyond.
So please make sure those cards stay safe over the holidaysβ€”no tossing, losing, or accidental trips through the washing machine! πŸ˜‰

If a card does go missing or gets damaged, don’t worry β€” replacements are available, but they do take time and have a small fee.

πŸ‘‰ Need a new card?
Order a replacement here:
https://scbuslines.com.au/product/replacementssts-pass/

Replacement fee: $15

Thanks for your help, and enjoy the upcoming break! 🚌✨

🚍 How school bus travel works 🚍

βœ… The School Student Transport Scheme provides free travel on your child’s allocated school bus between home and school.

πŸŽ’ Each eligible student gets a bus pass to tap on/off their dedicated bus every school day. In the first instance, this pass is provided for free and will no longer expire each year, so make sure your child holds on to the pass.

➑️ If your child uses other buses (to get to work, sport, friends or activities), this is not subsidised by the NSW Government, and a fare applies – just like any other public transport.

πŸ’³ Paying is now easier: student passes can be topped up with funds (no need to carry cash), and now there is also credit card facilities on some services, or you can still pay by cash on any service.
