Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten

Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten “Where all children are supported to feel safe and secure as they learn in their own ways unique to themselves.”

Located in Newington St, C&K Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten is a community project, funded partially by State Government grants and partially by fees and fundraising. Our centre, which operates under a constitution, is managed by a committee elected by the parents at the beginning of the year at the AGM. Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten is a C&K affiliated, non-profit organisation that p

rovides a high standard of early childhood education through an innovative play-based and sustainability-focused curriculum for pre-prep children. Our kindy fosters warm, trusting and inclusive partnerships between children, families and staff in a supportive, nurturing and responsive community-focused environment. Educators provide opportunities for children to learn as they discover, create, innovate, interact and imagine. The program is progressive, informed and emergent. Our aim is to assist children in realising their social and emotional potential.

Happy Educators’ Day.

Today is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the incredible educators who make our community what it is.

To our team, thank you for the love, care, patience and passion you bring with you each and every day. The work we do reaches far beyond the moments we see. We are creating spaces where children feel safe, valued, heard and free to grow into who they are.

What makes our team so special is the sense of community we create together. We support one another, celebrate each other’s wins, share the challenges and continue to learn alongside one another. It is in these little moments of connection, kindness and teamwork that something truly special grows.

Thank you for showing up with open hearts, curious minds and a genuine passion for giving children the very best start in life.

Here’s to the educators who nurture hearts, inspire big imaginations and make a difference in ways they may never fully see.

This week we have welcomed Kevin from Evergreen Children’s Theatre. Kevin delivered puppet shows for each of our Kindy and Pre-Kindy groups.

We enjoyed a fantastic show about Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, and a wonderful show about the Australian Rainforest. Both of these puppet shows were very informative for our young learners. Thank you, Kevin! 🌱🐠

🪱A visit from the Worm Man🪱

This week we welcomed Brian the Worm Man to Kindy. He taught us some facts about worms and other insects. Brian kindly gifted us some worms for our very own worm farm! We can't wait to learn how to care for them and feed them our lunch scraps. Our worms will help reduce waste at Kindy while producing nutrient-rich compost to help our gardens thrive.
