Happy Children’s Book Week! ✨📚

This week, we’ll be celebrating the power of stories — the ones that make us laugh, think, dream and explore new worlds. 🌟

Our students will be embracing the joy of reading through a wonderful week of book-inspired activities:

📖 Monday: We’ll kick off the week with a whole school Read In before school. Students can bring along their favourite book and find a cosy spot in the playground to enjoy some quiet reading time, weather permitting.

🎭 Tuesday: Our annual Book Character Parade will bring stories to life! Students are invited to dress as their favourite character from any book they choose, or as something inspired by this year’s theme, Symphony of Stories. We can’t wait to see their creativity and imagination!

🎶 Wednesday: We’ll enjoy our exciting Book Week Show, celebrating the magic, joy and imagination that stories bring to life.

It will be a wonderful week filled with books, creativity, imagination and a celebration of the joy of reading! 💫📚

This week, St Elizabeth’s is joining thousands of schools across Australia in recognising Bullying No Way Week and our shared commitment to bullying prevention.

The 2026 theme, Small Acts, Big Impact, reminds us that simple acts of kindness, inclusion and support can make a real difference. Throughout the week, our students will be learning ways to build positive relationships, stand up for others and create a culture where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

What an incredible achievement for our Stage Band at this year’s QCMF! 🌟

Competing against high schools from across the competition, our Stage Band was the ONLY primary school to compete in this section — and even more impressively, the ONLY band to achieve GOLD! 🥇🎶

This is such an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the incredible talent, dedication and hard work of our students. We could not be prouder of every single one of them! 💙💛

🥇🎶 WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! 🎶🥇

A huge congratulations to our St Elizabeth’s Senior Band on being awarded GOLD at this year’s QCMF! 🏆✨

This was an incredible result, with our band receiving Gold alongside just one other school and being awarded the only High Commendation in their section! 👏👏

Our talented trombonists were even called back onto the stage for a special presentation, which was such a wonderful recognition of their outstanding performance. 🎺🌟

We are SO incredibly proud of every single member of our Senior Band. Your hard work, dedication, commitment and passion have truly paid off, and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! 💙💛

We are looking forward to our talented students taking part in the Queensland Catholic Music Festival (QCMF) in a few days! 🎵

Our students have been working incredibly hard, and their dedication, passion and love of music will be on display. We would love to see our St Elizabeth’s community there supporting them from the audience! 💙💛
