Good luck to all of our Year 12 students beginning their exams today. This is a good opportunity to see your strengths and weaknesses before your final exams at the end of the year. Please remember to take care of yourselves and don't be afraid to seek support. Good luck!

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2026! Join us for a special evening as we celebrate the hard work, achievements, and memories of our Year 12 students. The event will be held at Hyatt Place, Essendon Fields, and will include speeches, awards, dinner, and dancing.

The cost of attendance for the Valedictory is $115 per ticket for all guests attending the event. To support our students and ensure that all families can participate in this special occasion, the College will provide assistance with the cost of the student ticket as outlined below:

Families eligible for CSEF may use their available CSEF funds to cover the full cost of the student ticket.
Families not eligible for CSEF will only be required to pay $60 for the student ticket, with the remaining amount subsidised by the College.

Please note that all additional guest tickets will remain at the full price of $115 per person. All payments must be completed in full by Friday, 18th of September.
If you are unsure whether your family is eligible for CSEF support, please contact the College Office for assistance.

Once a student ticket has been purchased, an email will be sent to parents/guardians containing the ticket and a link to purchase up to three additional guest tickets. Guest tickets, including for children, are priced at $115 per person and includes a 2-course meal and soft drinks. Please state any dietary requirements or food allergies during the booking process, all meals are served Halal.

As this is a fully seated dinner event, all attendees, including children, must hold a valid ticket. Tickets will not be available for purchase on the night.

Further information regarding how the evening will run will be provided later in the year. The event can be found here: https://tarneitsc-vic.compass.education/Organise/Activities/Events/Event.aspx?eventId=31462

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our graduating students and their families. Please contact the College if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Tarneit Senior College.

Over the December school holidays, work was completed on an extension to the school’s sporting facilities. Located alongside our volleyball courts are two additional basketball courts and new cricket pitches, now available for student use during both recess and lunchtime.

These new spaces provide more opportunities for students to stay active, connect with their peers, and further develop their skills across a range of sports. We’re excited to continue supporting our students through improved facilities and hope they make the most of these new spaces for recreation, teamwork, and friendly competition.

On the 10th of February 2026, Tarneit Senior College had 187 Year 12 students attended the Year 12 Success Day, designed to prepare them for their Year 12 studies. This year, the day was hosted at the Deakin University Waurn Ponds campus, giving students an opportunity to get off site and experience university life. Throughout the day, students attended several workshops on rotation, including.
• English skills workshop
• ATAR & Study Score ABC’s workshop
• Wellbeing workshop
• Elevate workshop

These workshops were run by a mixture of Tarneit staff and external presenters and were designed to give students the knowledge and skills they would need to succeed for the year.

In between workshops, students took part in some engagement activities run by the school Year 12 Year Level Team, before ending the day attending a Q & A panel with two former TSC Year 12 graduates. The overall theme for the day was on the 1% change students can make, and the significant long-term impact that change can have on their success.

We believe that all students benefited from the experience and encourage them to use the skills they learned to achieve success in 2026.

This ANZAC display was created by the Year 10 and Year 11 Modern History classes.
Students learn about the World Wars and the significance of the ANZACs, from Gallipoli in WWI to the Kokoda Track in WWII.

The display highlights specific verses from the song “And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda”, about a young man going about his life before being sent to war, and how he reflects on it over the years to come.

The images of the teddy bears resemble “Pocket Bears.” They were designed to fit into a soldier’s breast pocket, serving as a lucky charm, a comfort item, or a token of love from home.

This display was made to honour and pay respect to all veterans from the students and staff of Tarneit Senior College.

Education Week is when we celebrate the various parts of the Tarneit Senior College community, recognising all the incredible work put in by staff and students every day.

The theme for this year is “Showcase Your School,” allowing us to highlight our incredible Student Leaders, who have taken it upon themselves to be the face and voice of their fellow students. It’s a massive role that comes with so much extra responsibility on top of the already packed schedule of a Year 12 student. Misha and Zak should be incredibly proud of themselves for bravely rising to the occasion.

We’re proud to support our students in all their endeavours, made all the easier with such strong student leader support.

Hello Tarneit Senior College Community,

As part of our College Reporting, we run through three cycles of progress reports per semester. These are referred to as Engagement Progress Reports. Academic Reporting and feedback are communicated through Compass Learning Tasks and the At-Risk Process. This information can be accessed via Compass or communicated by the classroom teacher.

The Engagement Progress Reports will report on:
• Attendance
• Arriving to class on time
• Bringing the required equipment
• Use of class time
• Responding to feedback
The minimum benchmark for these behaviors is 75.00. It is vitally important that students are displaying these positive learning behaviors on a regular basis as they will have a direct impact on student academic growth and success.
For Parents or Guardians who are seeking further information or clarification around the Engagement Progress Reports, please contact the college at [email protected]

Kind regards,
Tarneit Senior College
