A huge thank you to Dr Siobhan Kennedy-Costantini for spending the evening with our Montessori Early Education Taringa team last night. โค๏ธ

It was such a valuable opportunity for our educators to reflect on child development, relationships, behaviour and the ways we can better understand and respond to the children in our care.

Dr Siobhan is a child development specialist, researcher, educator and founder of Science Minded. With a PhD in developmental psychology and over 15 years of experience, she brings research into practical, meaningful strategies for early childhood educators and families. (Science Minded)

Today is National Tree Day.
It is a wonderful reminder of the important role trees play in our environment. They provide clean air, shelter for wildlife, shade, and beautiful spaces for children to explore, learn, and grow.

At Montessori Early Education Taringa, we value fostering a love and respect for nature through hands-on experiences, gardening, and outdoor learning.

We loved having Cr Penny Wolff visit us for Harmony Week.

The children learnt about what she does, as well as enjoying two beautiful stories- 'We Are All People', and 'I'm Australian Too'- all about inclusion, belonging, and diversity.

This was a fun and meaningful visit that helped build connection and understanding, thank you Cr Penny Wolff for spending time with us.

From tiny seeds and little seedlings to a thriving garden full of life.. what a wonderful journey it has been.

Our children have poured so much love and care into nurturing our garden.

Through tending to our plants each day, they have experienced the magic of watching something grow from the ground up.

Now, we are so proud to be harvesting and enjoying our very own organically grown flowers, herbs, and vegetables.

The excitement doesn't stop there... our corn is almost ready.

There is nothing more special to than seeing children connect with nature and enjoy the fruits of their own hard work.
