What a performance from our Senior Performance Dance Group at the In the Spotlight Dance Festival tonight!
After months of dedication, rehearsals and hard work, our dancers took to the stage with confidence, grace and professionalism, delivering a truly beautiful performance of Imagine. ๐

โจ Senior Dance Performance Group โจ
Our Senior Dance Performance Group have spent the morning at the Seymour Centre rehearsing for tonightโs In the Spotlight Dance Festival performance.
The students have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, showing dedication, teamwork and a love of dance every step of the way. We are so proud of the commitment and enthusiasm they have brought to rehearsals and know they will shine on stage tonight.
A huge thank you to our families for their ongoing support and to our dancers for representing Taren Point Public School with such pride.

A huge congratulations to Lucie on an outstanding performance at the Sydney East Cross Country Championships, finishing 1st place and being crowned Sydney East Champion in her age division!
Lucie demonstrated incredible determination, resilience and courage throughout the race, tackling every challenge the course presented.

Our Year 1/2 students have been busy learning about street addresses and how to correctly write it on an envelope as part of our Geography unit on Australian places. ๐ฎ
To put their new skills into practice, each student wrote a letter to themselvesโeither in French or in Englishโand today they had the exciting opportunity to post it! โ๏ธ
They are all eagerly awaiting the arrival of their very own special letter in the mail. What a wonderful way to connect learning with real-life experiences!

Building Connections with Our Future Learners๐
Our School Captains wrapped up their final preschool visit for the week at Papa Bear Child Care, sharing stories, building connections, and promoting our wonderful school community.
It was fantastic to see the captains engaging with the preschool students through reading and conversation, helping to foster a love of learning and making the children feel excited about their future school journey.

The children were engaged and enthusiastic, and our captains did a wonderful job demonstrating leadership and kindness while representing Taren Point Public School.

Our Year 2/3 students have been busy working collaboratively during partner writing and maths groups. Through partner writing, students are sharing ideas, giving feedback, and supporting each other to become more confident and capable writers. โ๏ธ๐
In maths groups, students are using hands-on materials, problem-solving strategies, and mathematical discussions to deepen their understanding and explain their thinking. โโ๐งฎ

๐โจ Instilling a Love of Reading at Little Scribblers Preschool! โจ๐
Today, our school captains had the pleasure of visiting Little Scribblers Preschool to share the joy of reading with some very enthusiastic preschool learners.
The children listened attentively as our student leaders read stories, asked thoughtful questions, and helped bring the books to life. Following the story, the preschoolers enjoyed a creative โWantedโ poster activity inspired by the book, showcasing their imagination and artistic talents.
It was fantastic to see our School Captains demonstrating leadership, confidence and kindness while fostering a love of books and learning in our future students. Thank you to Little Scribblers for welcoming us into your learning space โ we look forward to visiting again soon!

๐ Kindergarten Learning in Action! ๐
Our KW students have been busy learning through hands-on literacy and numeracy activities. From building word knowledge and writing sentences to exploring number concepts, students are showing great enthusiasm and confidence in their learning.
Students also have had a wonderful time participating in gymnastics activities, developing their balance, coordination and teamwork skills while having lots of fun! ๐คธโโ๏ธ๐คธโโ๏ธ
