Beyond the Bell | Meet Dylan Wadwell!

• What’s your most controversial food opinion?
Bacon is overrated.

• What’s your hidden talent?
I can twitch just one eye.

• What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an athlete of some sort.

Some students are ready to be challenged a little further. They are curious, full of ideas and eager to see just how far they can go, CHACE gives them the opportunity to do exactly that.

Our CHACE program encourages students to think deeply, solve real problems and extend themselves through learning that reaches well beyond the classroom. Along the way, they work with universities, industry professionals and community partners, taking part in experiences that open their eyes to new possibilities.

More than anything, CHACE is a place where students can find their people, grow in confidence and feel proud of what they are capable of.

We are incredibly proud of the young people in this program, not only for what they achieve, but for the curiosity, courage and determination they bring to every opportunity.

Parent–Teacher Interview Reminder

A reminder that Parent–Teacher Interviews will be held this Wednesday, 26 August, commencing from 3:45pm.

Please note the updated location: interviews will now take place in the Chatham High School MPC, not the Library.

Bookings can be made through the Sentral Parent Portal. We encourage parents and carers to take this opportunity to discuss their child’s progress and work together with our teachers to support their learning.

Introducing Beyond the Bell! While 'Inside Chatham High' returns next week, we are also launching a fun new series to help our community get to know the people behind our school.

From hidden talents and childhood ambitions to some seriously controversial food opinions, Beyond the Bell will introduce you to a different Chatham High staff member each week.

First up, meet Coach Kyle!

• What’s your hidden talent?
I can crack an egg with one hand without breaking the yolk.

• What’s your most controversial food opinion?
Pineapple does not belong on warm food—not on pizza, not on a burger and definitely not as a Hawaiian topper on a schnitty. It is a fruit that should be eaten cold by itself or in a fruit salad.

• What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a cameraman for the NRL so I could get paid to go to games.
