🌟🌟A huge congratulations to Lucas Campbell-Wrigley on being selected for the 34-player NSW PSSA Rugby League Development Camp!

This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to Lucas’s hard work, dedication, and talent. Following the four-day camp, a final 17-player NSW squad will be selected.

A special congratulations also to his brother, Lachan, who represented Polding at the same tournament. What a wonderful achievement for both boys and a proud moment for the Campbell-Wrigley family.

We wish Lucas all the best at the development camp and look forward to following his journey. 💛💙

What an incredible day at Joey’s Athletics Carnival! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️☀️

Students gave it their all, showing outstanding determination, sportsmanship, and house spirit throughout the day. From thrilling track events to impressive field performances, it was fantastic to see everyone supporting one another and celebrating their achievements.

A huge thank you to our staff and families for helping make the carnival such a success. Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and effort – you should be proud of your accomplishments!

💛💙 Learning Together About Jesus and His Family

On Friday, the Year 1 and Year 5 students came together to learn and talk about Jesus and his family. The older students worked alongside the younger students, sharing ideas and discussing what they know about Jesus’ life, his family, and the important role they played. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to collaborate, ask questions, and deepen their understanding through meaningful conversations and shared learning experiences. Everyone enjoyed spending time together and learning from one another, making it a fun and engaging experience for all. 🙏💛💙

On 26th May we marked National Sorry Day, led by our Year 3 students. They prepared and delivered a Liturgy for the whole school with many families attending. They spoke clearly about respect, listening, and care.

We were honoured to hear from Uncle Barry. He spoke about his family’s experience of the Stolen Generations. His words gave a clear and personal account of history. This helped the students understand the impact and the importance of this day. ❤️💛🖤

During Catholic Schools Week, it was awesome to focus on our theme, ‘A Home for All’ with the Together for Humanity team workshops. Students, parents and staff reflected on topics such as diversity, inclusion, racism, and celebrating difference in our community so that social cohesion continues to be a part of the fabric of our school culture. The panel included members of the Biripi Nation who generously shared stories of their own experiences and Aboriginal spirituality alongside other people from Australia, America, Iran and India sharing stories from Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Hindu faith groups. Antisemitism and bullying have no place at St Joseph’s Taree.
