What an incredible weekend at the Sydney Turramurra Kyokushin International Martial Arts Australia Seminar! Sensei Mark Long, Annika Shoobridge, Talitha Ferguson, and John McInnes from Taree KIMAA traveled down to Sydney for three full days of training and camaraderie.

Friday 14th: Intensive evening session covering all Kihon techniques.
• Saturday 15th: Started with breakfast at the park by the Dojo, followed by a 10:00 AM weapons training session (Basic Exercises 1 & 2 + partner work). After a team lunch at a student's house, we returned for a Kata workshop from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, ending the night with a great dinner at the Blue Gum Club.
• Sunday 16th: A fantastic final session focused on Renraku and Sanbon Kumite, wrapping up with lunch before heading home.

OSU! Great work to everyone who attended!

Training Visit to MOKKA Harden
Kyokushin International Martial Arts Australia (KIMAA) Taree recently visited Harden to train alongside Mas Oyama Kyokushin Karate Australia (MOKKA) Harden. The session was hosted by long-time friend and karate enthusiast Senpai Sean Stevenson, accompanied by senior grade Sharon Langman (Brown Belt, Black Tip). It is a privilege to share such an enduring connection, as all three of us originally trained under the same instructor, Sensei David Craigie (4th Dan Kyokushin) in Young.
The session was vibrant, filled with junior belts and eager young students. The curriculum focused on an in-depth review of basic techniques, culminating in instruction on their new kata, Pinan Sono Ichi, which was enthusiastically received by the class.
Sensei Mark extends his sincere gratitude to Senpai Sean and Sharon for opening their dojo and welcoming KIMAA Taree to participate in this valuable session.
Osu.

KIMAA had two entrants into today’s MKA national tournament in Maroubra. Congratulations Michael and Nicholas for representing KIMAA in non contact and padded contact divisions. Michael managed a hard fought second in padded contact and competed strongly in the non contact. Well done Nicholas who achieved fourth place in non contact.

A special thankyou to Masumi Lipman for her continuing support of KIMAA.
