TAREE HIGH FAMILIES WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW !!!
We are doing all we can to stay on top in the current $$$ crisis!
With canteen sales dropping daily we are starting to struggle to even keep to the doors open to provide a healthy & affordable canteen
WE MUST adjust our operation NOW
PROBLEM #1 = WAGES
We are already paying minimal wages so we cannot possibly decrease that.
PROBLEM #2 = FOOD COSTS
Our fantastic staff are already working as hard as they can with very little help.
We simply do not have the labour resources to stay on top of the other important stuff such as monitoring the internal processes, the Menu mix & the recipes costings, what’s actually selling best or buying the best products in & from who.
There are SOLITIONS & YOU CAN HELP....Please KEEP READING...

SOLUTION #1 = VOLUNTEERS
As we can’t afford to put on more staff & pay more wages for now,
WE CAN work smarter & increase the people power with volunteer help.

WE NEED helpers urgently 2-3 hrs per day:
a) first thing in the morning to help prep food & serve at recess OR
b) from the beginning of lunch service to help serve & tidy up for the next day OR
C) any time during the weekday between 8 & 3 to help prep batches of food to freeze
ANY time YOU can give will make a big difference

SOLUTION #2 = DONATIONS
WE NEED donations so another way in which you can help is by donating $$$ to help go towards our expenses whether it be wages, food or better appliances to help us save time & work smarter.
PS We really need A FREEZER IF YOU HAVE A SPARE ONE LAYING AROUND
Any TIME you can give, any $ or Item you can DONATE WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

Did you know!!??...
Taree High Canteen is run by OUR schools P&C Association.

It is our main objective to provide a healthy canteen at minimum cost to our kids & families.
We can only do this if we have our P&C, OTHERWISE we would need to fold & outsource to a contractor. and PRICES WILL GO UP if we do not take action now.
We do not make a profit...We try to at least cover costs...Right now, we barely are!

To keep our P&C alive, we need members. If we do not have at least 5 members we must fold because we can't rightfully hold our meetings or even function.

YOU CAN HELP by simply joining our association and attending few meetings a year, & then, we will survive.
Better still, if you can also volunteer a little bit of time in the canteen that would be great!

Please join us at our AGM this coming Wednesday 2nd April 5.30pm in the school library.
