Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate Taree Dojo

We were finally able to present John from the Laurieton dojo with his official WMKA Shodan certificate after his absence due to his ongoing medical issues. Now on the mend, we hope to see his return to the dojo floor.

Rebecca Cavanagh, Yondan ( 4th dan black belt) WMKA (MKAA) instructor at the Wingham dojo of the Matsubayashi Ryu Karate Association of Australia. This is the first move from the kata Pinan Shodan.

This is Matsubayashi ryu Australian student (Taree dojo) Kathleen Rees, receiving her shodan (1st dan, black belt) certificate issued by the World Matsubayashi Ryu Karate Association . This is the culmination of 22 years of dedicated, hard, consistent training by Kathleen to attain her long cherished dream of earning this rank. In all those long years of training, Kathleen only missed class training due to genuine illness and was the most consistent student over this long period of time. Congratulations Kathleen on your promotion. Very well done.

Presentation of the official World Matsubayashi Ryu Karate Association`s Sandan ( 3rd dan - black belt) certificate to Kathryn Warwick, assistant instructor at the Wingham Dojo of the WMKA.

We have decided that a complete rearrangement is needed in the Taree dojo. As from this Tuesday, 3rd, March, the juniors and seniors are combined into one class. New start time is 6.30pm to 8pm. The new training fee is $10 per person per lesson. I hope this doesn't disrupt your schedule too much, but the changes are necessary..

Karate starts back next week, 3rd February, in the Taree dojo.
