Revisited a project we did for Icon Water over at there Williamsdale site on the border of the ACT and NSW south of Canberra in December 2022. Out of the 500 planted 90% are thriving, the other 10% fell victim to cattle predation and guards being removed. Aside, a great success in connectivity planting. Tree guards and planting materials supplied by Planting Systems Australia and trees supplied by Monaro Native Tree Nursery

On Friday 31 March RLA Facilitated a planting demonstration for The Australian Governor General Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, together with the Honourable David Smith MP, Federal Member for Bean, and almost 30 Year 6 school children and teachers from the Evelyn Scott School in Denman Prospect, joined members of the Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise in planting 96 native trees and shrubs along the Molonglo River in Denman Prospect. The Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise put out a call for community-minded lovers of nature, who were keen to “green” Denman Prospect along the Molonglo River. 300 more trees to be planted by RLA to complete the project.

March 2023, RLA was contracted by the ACT government Parks and Conservation services to revegetate the primary floodplain around Willow flat on the southern catchment area of the Cotter Dam. This site was used for pine plantations over the past 50 years. We planted a mix of natives from trees to ground covers to provide a seed bank for future revegetation projects in the Cotter.
