We have had a remarkably busy term, encompassing visits to local shops, the library, cafes, and a special visit from Nature Play. To celebrate our term of learning, we organised a special day featuring popcorn and movies. We bid farewell to six mid-year intakes from 2024, wishing them all the best for their future academic journey. Additionally, we said goodbye to a family who relocated. We look forward to welcoming seven new mid-year intakes at the beginning of Term 3. We hope our families enjoy a well-deserved two-week break and look forward to seeing you on Monday, 21st July.

Last week and this week have been exceptionally busy. The highlight of last week was our visit to Wohlers, where each child received a hot chocolate, cupcake, and a choc chip cookie. We would like to extend our gratitude to Vicki and James Fear for organising our visit, as well as to the cafe staff, who demonstrated remarkable patience, kindness, and care. This week has been dedicated to music, with the children requesting upbeat dance music. They have been actively engaged in playing musical instruments and dancing. To further enhance this experience, the staff provided materials, including boxes, rubber bands, and seeds, which the children utilised to create guitars, drums, and shakers, ultimately forming a band. The music was truly impressive. That concludes weeks 5 and 6, and as we enter week 7, please note that Monday is a public holiday and Tuesday is a pupil-free day, with the children attending Kindy on Wednesday .

Week 4. Another busy week has transpired. Measurement continues to be an area of interest, with children measuring doors and walls and comparing tools. We did some recognition of numerals and number order whilst stamping . We continue to use our 4 and 5 year old writing to write and draw pictures to our friends and family . We have discovered the conventions of envelopes and use these to post our work into . We did some investigations into eagle wings and created our own . The Farm table is growing and developing with the children adding silos and tractors to it . We have started a journey on making our own cafe and discovering how they work . We will be doing some special visits into the community and adding to our cafe after our visit a local cafe.
We had the pleasure of hosting special visitors to the Kindy, with photos taken by Nicky and Camp Quality puppets Ariel and Smiley visiting us.
Last but not least , we have a wonderful article in the Leader , please get one and have a read.

What a busy week we had Last week at kindy. We went out into the community to the Tanunda library, we experimented with potions, we tried out some different climbing equipment and we measured and compared, using a range of measurement tools.
