THE UNE LIBRARY: is not just a place to borrow books. Their expert team offer workshops and individualised support to students, covering academic skills, research, referencing, and more. You can talk to a librarian who specialises in your field of study. They can connect you to millions of resources, both print and online. Come to the UNE Tamworth Student Support Information Day and find out just how much the librarians can do for you.

Our UNE Tamworth Student Support Information Day is on Tuesday! You'll meet a number of services to help you through your student journey, including:

PASS UNE AND PAM: UNE has two types of academic peer assistance service for students: PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) and PAM (Peer Academic Mentoring). Both options are free for UNE students and offer you the chance to meet other students in a friendly and informal setting.

PASS is a unit-specific, group online study session, whereas PAM is academic-focused support that's available for all undergraduate students via a one-on-one online appointment. Come along and chat to an experienced PASS leader and PAM mentor at UNE Tamworth!


SCHOLARSHIPS: Are here to help make study a little easier. They can ease financial stress and recognise your hard work, dedication and potential. At UNE, we’re providing students with opportunities to succeed through scholarships that support people at every stage of their study journey, from those just starting out to continuing students, research candidates and international students. The new round of scholarships will be opening soon. Come along to UNE Tamworth and find out more from the Scholarships team.

The theme of their presentation was Connecting Classroom to Community and the duo spoke about their work as academics and how their work extends into community outreach and collaboration, right here in Tamworth!

Here are two of the services that will be on hand to answer your questions:

THE STUDENT ACCESSIBILITY AND WELLBEING OFFICE (SAWO) is committed to ensuring all students have access to equal learning opportunities. SAWO supports students with a disability and/or health condition, students who are carers or victim-survivors of domestic violence, and students who are incarcerated, live in rural and remote areas, or are serving in the defence force and emergency services. SAWO can assist you to develop a Study Access Plan (SAP), which assists with reasonable adjustments that allow equal participation in university life.

THE COURSE ADVISING TEAM: offer confidential, student-led conversations which assist you to navigate the complexities of student life, balancing other responsibilities and unexpected life events with your study. If you are experiencing challenges that are impacting your ability to complete your studies, or if you are uncertain that your course is going to meet your study, career, or life goals, the Course Advising Team can help you build a strategy to meet your goals.
