Today we celebrated International Kindness Day across our centre! π
Throughout the day, the children explored what it means to be kind, caring and respectful to others. Together we shared ideas about how small acts of kindness can make a big difference, from using kind words and helping our friends to showing gratitude and including everyone in our play.
Our Senior Preschool children also created beautiful handmade kindness cards for our wonderful educators as a special way to say thank you and show their appreciation for all the love, care and support they receive each day.

Today our centre came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week with a special cake cutting. It was a wonderful opportunity for children and educators to gather, connect and enjoy meaningful conversations as we reflected on the importance of celebrating and recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and traditions.
Throughout the week, each room has been engaging in a variety of learning experiences inspired by NAIDOC Week, and we canβt wait to share these special moments with you over the coming days.

πΏ Weaving Our Connections Together πΏ
Our Community Weaving Project is now underway, and we couldnβt be more excited to see it begin!
Throughout July, we are inviting all children, families and educators to contribute a piece of fabric to our weaving frame. Every strip woven into the frame represents a unique story, culture, experience and connection that makes our centre community so special.
As the weeks go by, our weaving will continue to grow into a beautiful collaborative artwork, symbolising belonging, respect, diversity and the strength of coming together as one community.
If youβre visiting the centre, weβd love for you to stop by, choose a piece of fabric and add it to our weaving. Every contribution, no matter how small, becomes an important part of our shared story. β¨

ππ World Ocean Day at Our Centre! π π¦
Today, children across the centre explored the wonderful world of our oceans as we celebrated World Ocean Day. Through discussions, books, play experiences and hands-on learning, the children discovered what makes our oceans so special, the amazing creatures that call them home, and how we can help care for and protect them.
Our Senior Preschool children immersed themselves in a fun ocean-themed sensory experience. The sensory tray was filled with sand, blue βoceanβ water and a variety of ocean animals including sharks, whales, fish and other sea creatures. As they explored, the children engaged in meaningful conversations about ocean habitats, marine life and the importance of keeping our oceans clean.
Together, we discussed simple ways we can care for our oceans, such as reducing rubbish, recycling, and making sure waste doesnβt end up in waterways where it can harm marine animals. The children shared their knowledge about their favourite sea creatures and used their imaginations to create underwater adventures through play.
π Happy World Ocean Day! ππ

Through meaningful conversations and shared experiences, we explored what it means to be a kind friend, how our words and actions can impact others, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive community for everyone.
A beautiful day for an important cause, reminding us all that kindness truly makes a difference. π
