That’s a wrap on PUFFS. 💛🖤

What a weekend. What a show.

I’m so incredibly proud of this cast. They took on one of the fastest, and most demanding scripts we’ve ever done, and they absolutely hit it out of the park. Every laugh, every quick change (one cast member played 11 characters!), was incredible.

This one is especially bittersweet, as it was the final fully staged play with five of our senior performers. (Don’t worry, you’ll see them in their final celebratory showcase in December).
These young actors have been with me for many years. I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow from eager young people into confident, talented young adults. Thank you for everything you’ve brought to O’Grady Drama. You’ll always be part of this family.

A special shoutout to four of our Juniors who helped backstage and on stage as Death Buddies, as well as our three Zach Smith’s, Chloe, Sara and Beau.
Thank you again to Chloe and to Millie running the backstage area with such organisation and positive vibes.
Thank you massively to Emily doing the sound effects. The success of the show relied so much on the timing of the sound effects and she absolutely nailed it every single time. It literally made the show. So thank you Emily!!
Another shoutout to Steve once again for being so awesome and collaborative, as well as Mitch, Roz, Ann, Alana, Raelee and the whole Capitol Theatre team. 🥳

The show is over, but the friendships and memories built are what this is really all about.

Some of the best things about theatre happen long before the curtain goes up.

Over the past few months, these incredible young performers have worked hard to bring Puffs to life. They’ve learned lines, solved problems, laughed until they have fallen over, supported each other through the tough rehearsals, and created friendships that will last long after the final bow.

As we move into the theatre this week, we recognise that Drama isn’t just about performing. It’s about finding your people. It’s about belonging, building confidence, and discovering that the friends standing beside you on stage often become the friends who stand beside you in life.

We’re so proud of every one of these amazing young people. 💛🖤
