What an absolute whirlwind of a term it has been at Somerset Music Studio. Balancing life as both an active performer and a dedicated educator means my schedule is always packed, but seeing the growth, joy and brilliant music-making from my students makes every single busy moment worth it!

Here is a little look back at what we've achieved together over the last few weeks:

🌟 On the stage - Performer Highlights
I had the absolute privilege of performing on 2nd Flute with the Logan City Symphony Orchestra for their 2nd concert - From Darkness to Light at the Logan Entertainment Centre.

🎷Leading the Way - Conductor & Studio Highlights
PANORAMA CONCERT - I had the best time conducting the Junior Concert Band for their big performance as part of the spectacular Winter Music Festival at Canterbury College.

STUDIO RECITAL - A massive congratulations to the 17 incredible Junior School students who prepared beautifully and shined on stage at our end-of-term recital at Canterbury College. Standing up and performing takes so much courage, and you all did a magnificent job! 👏👏

📝Behind the Scenes - Preparation & Progress
Behind every great performance are weeks of hard work. This term, the studio has been buzzing with students preparing for:
- Year 5 Band Immersion Program's 1st performance
- AMEB Exams (putting int he hard yards with technical work and pieces!)
- School Music Recitals
- School Band Performances
- School Talent Shows

Whether you were conquering your very first note, taking the stage at a school talent show, or nailing a complex exam piece - I am incredibly proud of every single one of you.

Thank you to all the wonderful families for your ongoing support. Time for a well-deserved wind break to rest up, recharge, and get ready to do it all again in Term 3! ❄️
