Every organisation has an upper world and a lower one.
Above ground are the plans, meetings, targets and results. Beneath them runs the work that keeps everything steady: containing anxiety, preserving trust, reading emerging risks, carrying ethical consequence and ensuring responsibility is properly supported.
This is the unseen work of leadership. It is often noticed only when it stops.
