Our entry in to the kindy/daycare section of the annual Tamborine mountain scarecrow festival. Tough Boris, from the Mem Fox book with the same name. We had a lot of fun making him this week and extending huge interest this year in pirates 🏴‍☠️❤️🖤

Once a year we make Gingerbread Men. This year, one in particular has been obsessed with the fairy tale. We measured, stirred and kneaded and had a lot of fun decorating. We were so lucky to have the use of a family heirloom of cutters that included a classic gingerbread man, the old lady, old man and a baby gingerbread man 🧡
The boys were concerned the men would escape from the oven, so they built a very effective trap 🥰 And we enjoyed gingerbread for afternoon tea.

Just Freckle, living her best life with daily belly rubs 🩵 Our Cottage kids love having animal connections, they enjoy chickens and a very friendly rooster, 3 Guinea pigs (one hairless) and two staffys, Piper and Freckle.
