Parent Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey to gain an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, however we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional
development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

Families can access the Parent Opinion Survey through the Compass News Feed on Monday 17 August. The
Newsfeed contains a link and PIN number for access to the Parent Opinion Survey. The survey will be
conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Bullying No Way Week: 17-21 August 2026

This week, Tallangatta Secondary College will recognising Bullying No Way Week, Australia's national week of action to prevent bullying. This year's theme, "Small Acts, Big Impact," reminds us that even the smallest acts of kindness, inclusion and respect can make a meaningful difference in creating a safe and supportive school community.

Exploring the importance of using positive words and actions, showing kindness in everyday moments, understanding the power each person must make a difference, thinking before speaking, texting or posting online, and working together to create lasting positive change.

Bullying prevention is a shared responsibility. By encouraging empathy, respect and inclusion, we can all play a part in building a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected.

We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by talking with their children about kindness, respectful relationships, online behaviour and the positive impact that small, everyday actions can have on others.
