Michael began teaching music full time around the turn of the century, developing a unique and successful approach to tuition across guitar, drums, piano, voice, trumpet, and more. Over 22 years, h

e prepared students for AMEB and ANZCA exams, produced end-of-year concerts, and supported hundreds of budding musicians in reaching their potential. As of 2023, Michael has retired from regular teaching but continues to enjoy music production, songwriting, and mentoring former students. Today, Kozi’s Music remains a creative space – not for formal lessons, but for sharing original music, collaborative works, and insights from a life in music.

Michael Kozikowski

Michael began teaching, full time around the turn of the century. Over this time, He established his own unique method of teaching music and found a constant flow of eager students.

Before retiring, Michael offered individual and group lessons for guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboard, trumpet, beginner flute, beginner drums, music theory and more recently ukulele.

“My role as a teacher/facilitator involved tuition to a standard that could prepare the student for an internationally recognised level of progress through the A.M.E.B. www.ameb.edu.au or ANZCA www.anzca.com.au . I also arranged and organised the musical performance of students for my end of year concert, as well as providing the sound engineering for indoor and outdoor venues.”

Michael has extensive experience as a singer and guitarist, and as a performer has been in several local bands over the years and intends to continue offering workshops to musicians who want to enhance their musical experience. Michael also completed the Diploma of Music Industry Technical Production and he is able to offer recording services to the public.
