The Tacoma Public School P & C would love to hear from parents and those in the community that wish to be involved in the decisions being made by the school.

It is a place to share ideas, ask questions, raise concerns, and take part in voting when important decisions are being made.

Where? When and What Time?

Currently meetings take place on the third Thursday each month at 7:00pm and take place at Tacoma Public School in either the staff room or library depending on numbers. If a meeting falls in the school holidays, just check whether an alternative date has been made.

Costs: To be part of the P & C you will need to pay your $2 membership fee.

Do I have to attend every meeting?

This is a misconception. No you don’t have to attend every meeting. We understand that work commitments and other things may prevent people from attending. So may wonderful ideas have been expressed in the school yard and unfortunately that’s where these great ideas stay.

Volunteering

Another misconception is that you have to volunteer all the time. You might not be able to make any meetings at all, however still want to be a part of this school and contribute when you can. You might not want or be able to volunteer at all and that’s ok too.

Having a voice

The more voices, the more ideas, the more suggestions, the more volunteers the better. By joining the P and C you get to be a part of the decision making and you get to vote.
